Cuvee du Bontemps celebrates the dedication and good will of the leading chateau owners of the leading chateau owners of the Medoc and Graves, joined together in an association or Commonderie whose origins date from 1155. The "Bontemps", a wooden bowl still used by some vineyards to beat up the egg white during the fining of the wine become their symbol in 1949. They approve a blend of wines consisting of many small lots from the finest properties in and around St-Julien Pauillac and St Estephe by placing their seal on the main label. Made only in the best vintages, Cuvee du Bontemps represents the classic, firm style which has made the Medoc famous. |
